Ron Block, NR2B
I started my work carrier as a mainframe computer programmer in 1965. After a short time in application development, I assumed the responsibility of maintaining the mainframe operating system, developing utilities, and attending conferences. After about ten years, I went to work for the mainframe manufacturer’s government division managing software and graduating to project management doing classified projects. After about another ten years I transitioned to the commercial side of the house and continued to manage large complex computer system creation and installation.
In parallel with the commercial work, I had an opportunity to start a distribution company based on the PolyPhaser product line as developed by my brother, Roger. Fortunately for me, Roger spent an extraordinary amount of time educating me and having me learn from some of his consulting activities. Over time I became competent with my own consulting practice. WR Block & Associates was recently closed after thirty-one years.
The book represents much of what I learned over the years. It works. I hope you will find it beneficial.
